Time Capsule – Mini-book of Favorites

My Grade Sixes created a mini-book to add to the capsule that will be opened in June of their Grade Eight year – and it was done with one piece of paper. (Color choice was, as always, an important consideration.)

Step One – the Hot Dog fold

Step Two and Three – fold in half, and then in half again.

Step Four – unfold and cut along the black line

Step Five – fold as shown, creasing the folds makes for a flatter, more manageable booklet

Step Six – brainstorm for suggestions. Individual ideas, not shown on the list, are encouraged. Here’s the list my Grade Sixes produced:

Step Seven – add personal responses. One of my students suggested two topics per page.
