Book Shares – Part 3

Being retired means not having a cupboard filled with exemplars to make the points I try to make in these blog entries; I no longer have a supply of interesting book shares. The pictures above show an excellent example I did hang on to . . . but even it is not technically a “book share.” It’s a 3D collage designed by student Kyle Nicholson to describe the events in Chapter 3 of The Giver. l think it conveys the spirit of the book share by being an interesting, eye-catching representation.

Shown below is what students were given on the back of the handout page shown in the previous blog entry. I like them to know how the marking will be done before they do an assignment and I am a fan of this type of marking system.
