Superheroes – Part 2

P3260002

Over time, I developed my Teacher Man character. This T-shirt shows the TM logo, a bit of a spoof on the concept of trademarks. (For more on TEACHER MAN, see the blog page with that title.)

After discussing superheroes, we would watch a clip from whatever happened to be the current superhero movie of that year. In an upcoming blog entry I will give specific scenes for at least two movies that should work with your classes.

Once the juices were flowing, I offered the handout below so each student could create his or her own superhero.

CREATE YOUR OWN SUPERHERO

1. Choose possible names ________________  _____________________

____________________  __________________ ____________________

2. What are your hero’s special powers?  ___________________________

3. What are your hero’s weapons? ________________________________

____________________________________________________________

4. Who are your hero’s enemies? _________________________________

____________________________________________________________

____________________________________________________________

5. Other information – How did he get his super powers? Does he have a helper? How does he get around? Does he have another identity? Does he have any weaknesses? What is his mission in life? Does he have a hide-out?

*** on the back of the page, draw a picture of your superhero.

Superheroes Part 1 and 2 give you a bit of a start. Other issues are planned for the next few blog entries but I will return to “Superheroes” in the not-too-distant future.
