A second swing at the Middle Years Alphabet

Ms. Harker’s grade 4’s were guided through their first swing at the Mackenzie Middle Years Alphabet. Colors were handed out so the predominant theme of the rainbow (ROYGBIV) would flow from A (red), B (orange), C (yellow) and so on. A darkly shaded outer border and lightly shaded inner border was a second requirement. Students were further asked to do a rubbing for the centre part of each alphabet letter. The results are shown below BUT ARE FOLLOWED by the class’s second swing at the alphabet where they were given free rein to do whatever they wished.
