Mackenzie Game

READER OF THE DAY #44 Kenzie Game (my great-niece)

Kenzie is 10-years-old, in Grade 5, and is renowned in the family as a reader’s reader. A look at the bookshelf behind her is clear evidence. As has been the case throughout the READER OF THE DAY project, everyone has really stepped up to make it work – in this case, it was Kenzie’s mom who conducted a brief interview:

Why do you read?

To relax, to learn, to have fun.

What genre?

Really any type of books that look appealing: historical fiction, biographies/autobiographies, mystery, fantasy, fiction in general.

What are some your favorite books?

Boy and Going Solo by Roald Dahl, The Ever Afters series by Shelby Bach, Canadian Boys/Girls Who Rocked the World by Tanya Lloyd Kyi, Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney, Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling . . . I could go on forever.

How many times a day do you read?

Depends, usually more than once.
